Venue: Backstage, Munich (Germany)
By: Nina Mende

Filter is an industrial rock group formed in 1993. The guys are coming from Los Angeles, California. Filter has released six full-length studio albums. The most recent album release being “The Sun Comes Out Tonight”, which was released just recently.
The Californians are currently touring and presenting their latest album. Tonight they stopped by in Munich in a club called Backstage. The venue was very crowded as Filter entered the stage. Dim light and fog made the entrance more dramatic, because you could not see their faces at first. The fans were cheering out loud, dancing along to the music, singing and enjoying the evening. Filter played quite some old hits, a Nine Inch Nails cover, and a couple new songs off the latest album. The singer Richard was talking to the audience, telling them he I sober these days and is not allowed to drink nor take any drugs anymore, asking for partners in crime or telling stories about the songs.

Filter played some dance floor songs along with some rock songs and even a ballad. In twenty years of band histories they have created quite a variety of styles and songs. Filter knows how to keep the audience’s attention. So make sure to catch them while they are still out on the road, because they definitely know how to rock a show.
