Ilpo Kaikkonen is a guy from Finland. With a guitar in his hands and blessed with a gorgeous warm voice he is ready to do a show in On The Rocks, Helsinki (Finland)

Ok, it was not very crowded while he was playing, but neither it was before or after. Student night out and that’s what keeps the city busy. What a shame, cause people clearly miss out on something. Ilpo is a man with an international sound, as well as you would hear a bit of Poets of The Fall sound in it. On the rawer edges you might find a bit Kurt Cobain, but musically this is not where he is aiming at. This night he played some of his own work as well as some covers. Him’s “Wicked Game” passed by which seem to suit him quite well. His voice is deep enough to give the cover the charm it needs. On the Finnish songs he seem to dare to go even a bit further and takes risks here and there, challenging enough. The debut album of Ilpo is about to release, let’s hope a large crowd will find it, because with this sound you could see him all over Europe sharing some success. Well done!
