Danny Lips – Freefall

  Let me introduce to you these four enthusiastic boys; Vesku, Arska, Otto and
  Stixx (Tikku in finnish). They are Danny Lips and they come from the land of
  the ice and snow, Helsinki, Finland.

  These ice-fishers formed the band on spring 2006 with the Line-up: Vesku: vocals
  & guitar, Otto: guitar, Arska: bass and Mr. Stixx the drums. The first demo
  “Who´s been bad?” was released already on September 2006 and
  now the friends just want to say Hola, Hello, Moi, Bon jour, Bon apétit,
  etc. to all of you…anytime, everywhere…Yeah, they love to Rock and make
  music with their own kind of way.

  And now they have a new CD out called “Freefall” with four new rocking
  songs. I got the CD at the video shoot to “Say something cool”, the
  opening song on the new EP and a song that gets stuck in your head for ever.
  That was in August, and somehow, finally I got to write this review about the
  CD. Forgive me for being so late. The CD you can get at their page and by mailing

  As I said, I was at the video shoot for “Say something cool”, I cannot
  say I haven’t heard that song before, because they play it live and they
  have it on their myspace page, but because of the video shoot I finally got
  to listen to it actively and it just got stuck in my head for ever. Sab can
  confirm that. This song is great!! It’s kicking ass and the lyrics are
  sung clearly so that you understand every word easily and it gets stuck in your
  head, I promise. But this is not the only great song on this CD, no, there are
  three more. And I don’t say that because they pay me for that, they don’t…,
  but because it is the truth. All songs kick ass and have potential. But another
  one sticking out by getting stuck in your head is “take the shine out of
  the sun”. Quite long title, but easy to sing along and remember. I hope
  to hear some more great music of these four Finish guys some time soon. They
  are awesome and ready to rock your mind.
