The British male-female indie rock project “Blood red shoes” released the third album “In time to voices” this March.
For the first time of listening to the unknown “Can we play some rock and roll stuff and else? Yes, yes, you can” band is the box full of surprises. So, there was a missing time of “Yeah Yeah Yeahs”. The first three tracks are unexpected great. The opening track is mysterious, dark and paranoid. There is time to two voices: female and male which psychotic intonations just exploded the head. The “Cold” track can freeze blood in veins. The melody is pretty different during the entire song. Reminded me of the killer track “Ricochet” by “Shiny toy guns”. Then stuff got boring. Right to the track “Je me perds”. The moment you faced punk. Less than two minutes track includes shouting accompanied quick guitar riffs. But then songs turned in not so interesting stuff again. In the last point i.e. track titled “7 years” (right what band existences) wide melody put in your ears like lullaby.
The album is not phenomenal but pure beautiful. “Blood red shoes” is young and probably fresh. But remember, these shoes are not for dancing exactly.
