Whispers of Ghosts is a formation from Mexico. After releasing a debut album before the band now comes with a new EP titled “Simultaneous Silence”. This releases comes with a very special bonus part containing their first record Forest Of Shadows re-mastered by Black Drone. It is a quite rare piece of music.
What a nice start, dreamy, melancholic and with both dark and bright moments. When having the first track playing, listening to dark drones and deep parts, you may never expect the enlightment you get by a piano part in the second track. As if it is played in the middle of the dark woods on a mountain by moonlight. A little more drama comes in at the next track but the mood totally changes back to the darkness “Culpa-Remordimiento-Expiación” and after that you have some tracks that are more varied in what they offer. These are certainly telling you a story, a gorgeous one! It is easy to get yourself to repeating this album time after time.
In the bonus part of the album you may hear the changes and happenings coming by a bit faster than in the new material, but the idea of the atmospheres has similarities. Perhaps the stress is more on the dark side though. Great that it has found its way to a release as well, it deserves to be out there for the audience. “Simultaneous Silence” is a gorgeous release that gets prettier every time you listen to it!
