45 Degree Woman is a Finnish band, not a new one though. They have been existing for quite a while now and are also quite known and popular. They have one album released so far, this one called “Revival” is the second one.
After seeing this band live at Helldone I really wanted to have the new album, and here I got it. Although this band is somehow considered metal there is only one song where I would totally agree with that. The rest of the album is more likely harder rock than real metal. The tunes are very catchy and the lyrics easy to sing along. The songs are getting stuck in your head easily. Especially the songs “Alone” and “God” stay in your head forever, but actually all songs do in the end.
The album is smooth and easy going, yet very rocking and great. The album layout is held in an earthy reddish tone, lyrics are found in the booklet. In between some songs you can hear Spanish talking sounding like spoken onto an answering machine.
This album is very catchy and I so want to see that band live again. 45 Degree Woman is a gorgeous band and it’s a pity that they are not popular worldwide yet.
