Poisonblack is touring in Germany again, with their new album “Drive” that came out earlier this year. They took the band Battle Beast with them.

Battle Beast is a very enthusiastic Heavy Metal formation with female vocals. Que? Yes, this year they came with their debut album and obviously it hit ground as it seems like the band have some fans coming especially to see them. Then, after a few songs in their performance the rest of the audience seem notice as well that they got it together quite well. Sure some posing guitars, catchy and always there trying to impress the audience but it ain’t a battle of the skills here. Very well balanced the guys find a way to set a decent base for front femme Nitte to come over that. At first surprising many with the volume and strength she brings with her voice and then soon getting people along. Battle Beast is a nice support that gives a good and active show tonight.

The it’s up for Poisonblack and the atmosphere is right. The band seems in a good mood and during the show they often tell how happy they are to be back at this stage. The set is a mix of songs from different albums and does not focus on “Drive” only. An occasional older song like “Love Infernal” from their debut album cannot be left out and this seems to be appreciated. Of their latest album the singles “Scars” and “Mercury Falling” are played and these have clearly found their way to the audience as well. What is to notice that besides they all seemed very exciting to play is that they get tighter every time we see them, more precise but also playful. Vocalist Ville giving a little twist to the songs to make it sound just a little different every time you hear a song. “Love Infernal” for example, is always in their set and by ending it in an even more dramatic way he makes the fans smile. Not a bad word can’t be sad about this night even if we wanted to, simply because Poisonblack played a show with full enthusiasm and exactly as a good show is supposed to be. A good atmosphere was there in venue and after 1,5 hour’s and an encore the fans still did not want to let them go. A memorable night.
