Drive Like Maria was playing in Exit tonight. This gig, was certainly one that shows the visitors who did not know them already, that they are a social band. A lot of people from other known bands from the city were hanging around and at the door there was a free alcohol give away for each visitor.

This Belgian/Dutch rock trio is playing some gigs to warm us up for their forthcoming debut release in 2009.

They started with their typical rock and roll sound which got caught easily by the visitors. It is interesting to see how they play together and have all roles are balanced, no one takes their ego more to the spotlights than the other.

As the gig comes further they bring on another drummer and suddenly the trio has an extra band member. It seems to lighten the fire a bit more, as their drummer is also the vocalist of the band, he could now fully focus on the vocals.

The band brings back some old times. Underground music, sex drugs and rock n roll.
Certainly a surprising act you should see some time, if you have the chance. Maybe a bit too much of a depressing undertone for listing to their music on a daily base.
