Tonight we went to Das Bett in Frankfurt to see the UK band I Am In Love. The venue was not too crowded but the ones that were there knew all the songs and had heard of the band before.

The guys and girl were looking like university students and performed like Joy Division. Especially the singer tried to move and sing like Ian Curtis a lot. The female keyboarder as well as the guitar and bass players were in their own little world while playing. The drummer was looking around the audience room every once in a while. The music was far from what you usually get to hear when turning on the radio for example. catchy tunes and floating melodies made your mind drift off. The dim lights kept it away from here and now and the everyday life. I Am In Love created their own little world within the venue and invited us all to join. The band talked to the audience in between the songs, thanked them, animated them to sing or clap along. He seemed really shy, but it matched the music perfectly well. I Am In Love put up a sweet show, odd yet amazing, holding on to your attention till the very end. Simply brilliant. What a wonderful Thursday night with such a brilliant UK band.
