Mary Beth Patterson, known by her stage name Beth Ditto , is an American singer-songwriter, most famous for her work with the indie rock band Gossip.

After the time with Gossip and a break in between it was now time for Beth Ditto to release a solo CD. And here it is: Beth Ditto EP. Not the most creative name for a four track release but that is what Beth Ditto stands for: Keeping it real. So why hide herself behind some fancy names for her solo release? There is no need. And when listening to the short EP, you realize that there definitely is no need to hide behind any facades. The tracks – and Beth or course – can stand for themselves. The music is bright and refreshing. Bringing sunshine and warmth even into the darkest days and cheer you up. Wonderful music with a strong voice full of girl power make you move along to the melody. The songs get stuck in your head within seconds and cause you to hit the replay button until there will be a new release of Beth Ditto. This EP is meant to stay in your CD player until there is more form beth Ditto. I instantly fell in love with the four tracks and crave for more already. I hope she won’t let us wait for too long.
