Shakra is a Swiss hard rock band founded in 1990. After more than 20 years of band history, this is their tenth album called “Back On Track”.
Twelve new songs together on Shakra’s new release “Back On Track” are now available, and are not only for fans but rather all rock lovers out there. True rock and roll with awesome strong guitar riffs and a nice voice that is slightly smoky. All twelve tracks remind of the old school rock as we had it in the 80s and 90s. Straight forward, no add-ons, simply true rock. “When I See You” is accompanied by an acoustic guitar, an awesomely emotional song. “Yesterday’s Gone” is a mix between soft and harsher elements, which makes it neither a ballad nor a kick ass rock song but somewhere in between. “Lonesomeness” is yet another slow song on this album whereas the rest of the album tracks are faster and thriving. The twelve songs go by quite fast, so it’s time to hit the replay button. Shakra created a great album with “Back On Track”. Let’s see if we catch them on any of the summer festivals. Until then, keep “Back On Track” rotating in your CD players.
