“The Aftertaste” talks about the passing of time, through the eyes of a worn-out, broken man who looks back at his life and tries to get the meaning of it. As he goes back through time in his mind, seasons such as “spring” and “autumn” metaphorically represent “youth” and “adulthood” respectively, as he is now approaching the “winter” of his life. But, unlike it happened too often in the past, this time something is different: he is now wiser, stronger and with much more self-consciousness that he is ready to face head-on whatever comes.
