5x New – week 44

Swedish rock band ELECTRIC HYDRA presents new video “Won’t Go To War”, taken from the debut album “Electric Hydra” out via Majestic Mountain Records / Tee Pee Records
February 2020 seen former Dark Tranquillity guitarist, Niklas Sundin, debut his critically acclaimed, self-titled solo album, and his first public foray into different musical realms. Now, the multi-instrumentalist returns with his sophomore, full-length offering from MITOCHONDRIAL SUN, titled “Sju Pulsarer”, and which is set to be released on November 13, 2020 via the Italian label Argonauta Records.
After Sundin recently shared a first single to the album opening track, he has just unleashed a brand new, blistering music video! Sink into the cold grasp of MITOCHONDRIAL SUN and listen to “Pulsar 2”.
Welcome to the unnerving and anger driven world of MORA PROKAZA where madness reigns! Just like MORA PROKAZA, the upcoming new opus ‘By Chance’ cannot be contained nor be put in one single musical category. A mixture between Avant Garde Black Metal meets New School Trap, integrated with the Belarusian arts roots that lay so deep within.
Frontman/multi-instrumentalist Anders Manga says about the track:
“I’ve had the title, ‘A Night to Dismember’ written down on my to-do list for a long time. The title is based on the 1980’s direct-to-VHS Horror effort by NYC Exploitation movie legend Doris Wishman. When I heard Samantha Fox, who starred in that same movie, had died in April (2020) from a COVID-19 related illness, I just started writing and it’s a bit of a blur from there. It came together quickly. Our take on the title is different but still stands as a tribute to those two legendary ladies of celluloid sleaze.”

Bassist Devallia adds about video:
“Considering the title of the song, we thought of many different ways to go about making this video. In the end we decided to go more toward the absurd. As Spinal Tap said, there is a fine line between stupid and clever, and we are standing firmly on that line.”
Experimental Norwegian/Swiss constellation LETHE, by Skei (Manes) and Anna Murphy (Cellar Darling, ex-Eluveitie) is back with a new single “Gamma”.
