Hammer Of The Sky is a Finnish folk / ambient project, which was formed in 2018. Their music is all about the concepts of Finnish paganism, mythology and heathenism. The first EP “Aarni” is out this month.

“Aarni” delivers us four songs, each one taking us to different dimensions. Considering that each song carries some sort-of character on its own, time will go by quickly and you will find yourself meditating and going back to the beginning again and again! Since Hammer of the Sky ‘s first is mostly an instrumental EP, with some monologues/whispers here and there, now is the time to turn inwards and listen to ourselves, our emotions, feelings and even face our fears. Depending on your mood, you might also find yourself in that cold harsh Finnish winter! In this sense ,the band managed to depict that Finnish nature pretty well with their music. My personal highlight is the last song, representing the fine balance between “folk” with the main melody and the ambient elements going on in the background.

Lovers of (dark) folk, pagan concepts and nature (and… Wardruna!)… Dive deep or fly high and get ready to go into a trance with “Aarni”. You won’t regret it!
