Like Lovers is a project of German producer Jan Kerscher. Musically you can file it under electronic pop and the debut of Like Lovers came out in September. It is called “Everything All The Time Forever” and it is available now.
Musically there is a dreamy and catchy atmosphere to be found on this release. It is not hard to see yourself dancing to it in a club, yet also for the home listener there is plenty to offer. As dark as this kind of releases can be, so the opposite is this one. Comfortable sounds accompanied by high vocals are giving the songs their strength. Listen for example to “I Float On Your Love”, a track that seem to have it all. Ready for charts and ready for a club.
But strangely enough you don’t immediately consider this a too mainstream sound. Its experimental character is giving shape to what Like Lovers want to present throughout the release. The balance between experimental and commercial seems to work well and is what makes this album interesting.
Overall the release is a bit different from the standard but not straying too far from the comfortable. A fine release that one could surely spark your droopy autumn afternoons with during this dreary season.
