Twisted Tales is a Serbian formation making Thrash Metal. The band formed in 2004 and is now ready to release their second full length album. It is called “Bringer of Woe” and it is available now.
The band had split up quite fast but returned a few years later and since then they have focused on a Thrash Metal sound. Their sound is quite old school and you don’t have to expect much of innovation in that. It is not that the guys have been looking for something to fresh it up. But that is ok when it comes with a certain quality. The aggression the guys are putting into it speaks for them. The sound is running over you like a train. Here and there some riffs that stand out. The song “Slow Down” has some interesting moments and is quite the opposite from what its title would make you suspect.
Another song that stands out is the track “Trapped Under Glass” it has a great way of building the energy and combined with the vehemence behind it the guys make it stand out.
“Bringer of Woe” is not an album you have not heard before. It does bring you some decent quality Thrash. The Serbian guys draw our attention and perhaps our ways may cross someday. They sound like they can put up an energetic live show, so we are looking forward to that.
