Betontod is a German punk band founded in the 90s. First they were called Extrem, then Sniffin`Kills and then finally Betontod. They have several studio and live albums released already, many of them in own production. Betontod has a quite big fan base in Germany for being an underground band. Now they are releasing their new album “GlaubeLiebeHoffnung”.
The album is harsh, rocking and typical punk. Ass kicking it blasts out of the speakers into your face. All lyrics are in German, deep and straight forward saying what they think. The voice is smoky and harsh as well. This album has no mercy. Somehow the sound reminds of Die Toten Hosen or Böhse Onkelz. Fast and thriving this music is perfect for starting a mosh pit. I can imagine live shows of Betontod can get dangerous if you are just trying to stand still, I can imagine there is a huge mosh pit going on where everybody joins. You can tell the guys have been around for quite a while and know what they are doing. All songs are straight forward. This album is a great punk album. With “GlaubeLiebeHoffnung” Betontod created a new kick ass piece that will rock the masses!
