Release date: 2007

Patience is something that will get honored in the end. So did I get honoured
after some waiting with the Chinese edition of the latest Flare album “in
search of fame” including the two music videos “beautiful songs”
and “this is the sound of good music”.
Flare is a pop band with glam and happiness from Bergen, Norway. They have
been praised as the missing link between the Darkness and Keane, somewhere in
between.
In May 2005 FLARE released their debut album in Norway. The album named “In
Search Of Fame” is mixed and produced by Greg Haver (Manics), Bjorn Thorsrud
(Smashing Pumpkins) and Norwegian hot shot Erlend Fauske. The boys will now
start to search for record labels abroad for release in other countries.
FLARE is stadium pop; lavish and brash, pouting and preening, shamelessly catchy
and beautiful pop, turning many heads with the sheer quality of songs as well
as intense shows, massive glitter backdrop, zebra-clad amps and drum-kit! These
boys deliver intense and captivating live shows wherever they play. I will try
catching them live on their next tour to tell you more about their shows and
give you images to all that.
The songs make you feel love and give you warmth in the cold. The music mostly
gives you the feeling of finally seeing somebody you’ve been awaiting for
very long, again. The video to 2This is the sound of Good music” is about
a critical reporter getting his mind changed about Flare by their magic and
sound of good music. It’s a very bright video compared to the other one
“Beautiful songs”, which is a more melancholic video showing many
couples missing and loving each other. The last couple songs of the album are
slower and somehow a little bit sadder than the first couple ones, but still
very beautiful. It is a quite self-confident album and I am looking forward
to the next.
