Waterclime is a side project from the frontman of Vintersörg. Under the
name Waterclime he already released the album “The astral factor”
in January 2006. Now he returned with a new album called “Imaginative”.
Waterclime exists only out of Mr. V. He does all vocals and instruments himself.
It is clear that he likes to be in total control of the music. It seems like
Mr. V is a perfectionist regarding his music.
What you can expect from this album is some atmospheric rock music, which brings
your thought to some place in a fantasy land. Probably that is why the title
“Imaginative” is chosen.
There is a lot of drama in the songs, which gives the album an emotional touch.
The album starts with some electronics of the song “Vision or Void”.
When listening the song twice, you already have the sounds and lyrics in mind.
The album consist a mix of rock and jazz, with a slice of the Ayreon (Arjan
Lucassen) ideology. The album seems to be one long story, an epic to the world
created by Mr. V.
As one of the highlights of the album I would like to mention the song “A
journey to the center of your soul”. The arrangements are very well done.
It kept me listening with full attention. Overall a very well done album.
