Asia is A British Rockformation formed in 1981.At first the band was mostly seen as a supergroup as its members came from bands like Emerson, Lake & Palmer, King Crimson and Yes. In 2010 the guys recorded a live album at the High Voltage festival in London which they bring out now.
As a typical live album it is, you may wonder a bit about the soundquality of it. Sure the band did not really polish anything up and therefore you may feel as if you were there, but in company of a quite raw sound it may clinch a bit for the fact that you are not. Vocals are not always coming out too well, but the live feeling is there for sure. The band plays a lot of music that dates back to the very beginning of their discography, which seems to be a success with the long-time fans. Here and there something more new comes along and the band makes transitions between them quite flawless. The guys have quite some albums to pick their songs from and overall the mix of their choice comes out well.
Good, the album is quite raw but in a way it shows the true show. It is live, it is as is. It is Asia and the album seems an excellent extension to their discography
