Night Ranger is an American rock band from San Francisco that gained popularity during the 1980s and ’90s with a series of albums and singles. The band’s first five albums sold more than 10 million copies worldwide. The quintet is perhaps best known for the power ballad “Sister Christian”. In March 2011 the band announced some new band members and now their new album “Somewhere In California” is out.
The band took about 4 years for this album, their previous release dates back to 2007. With this release the band goes back to their roots and come with a melodic album that will definitely please the fans from their oldest work. Surely the confidential sound comes with some decent guitars, the band switched guitarists in the last years and this did not bring a huge difference after all. The quality in here is where it always was and it is clear that this suits them perfectly. The band brings songs as “Follow Your Heart” and “Live For Today” which immediately remind you of what you liked about this band at first. Seeing the guys are still there making an album as if it have been made many years ago is convincing you this is an album worth to have. Great for the summer, great for that road trip you might have planned and great for pretty much all moments.
