Adam Zadok, born in Israël but living in USA, is a songwriter. He participated at Bodog Bandbattle and… gained much success!
With a whole band behind him, he powered up his musical identity.
“State of Union” a release dated back from the end of 2006, contains 6 songs. A release filled with steady rock songs. Starting off with “Diamond Prison” Adam sets the tone right away. It keeps on going on while “Struck Out” hits the stereo. Somehow the combination of A Perfect Circle and Sister Hazel pops up. Catchy, but yet so much more than ordinary chart material.
All of the songs have a similar set up, in that way there is not too much of a surprise, but on the other hand, for only six songs I dig it.
In search for of a song that stands out somehow, I point my finger to the fourth song on this EP called “Alter Ego” which is more a down tempo song.
“State of Union” closes with the title song.
The EP has a certain continuity in it which makes it a perfect one for playing in your car during a summer road trip for example. As if Adam Zadok hit the European radio stations before, we shouldn’t be surprised see that happening again
