Label: Fastball Music Release date: 11-09-2020
Crown of Glory is a Swiss formation that makes Melodic Metal. The band has been around for quite some years. This year the guys are releasing the album “Ad Infinitum”. It is their third full-length album.
Must be said the band gives an instantly easy listening vibe when you start the album. It has a lot of catchiness which makes it very simple to adapt to. But luckily the guys have found a balance in it too. Not overdoing all these melodics to give in on some heaviness for example.
If you look at the tracklist some of these tracks would be a big crowdpleaser in any live situation. “Let’s Have A Blast” brings the right mood for that.
In a track like “Glorious Nights” they switch a bit in what they do, making it a bit more intense. And in contrast to that they included a ballad on this release. “Surrender” is as a ballad a nice break in the tracklist but is maybe a bit too much cliché for it to stand out.
Altogether Crown of Glory succeeded in making a pleasant album to listen to. The band took their time to think it through and this resulted in good compositions that cheer up the day a bit.
