The Cyan Velvet Project is a Finnish industrial metal band. They come from the city Tampere and recently released their second album: ”The Towers And The Blizzard”.
Their first album “The Essence of Disposal” was released in 2006.
The studiowork for this album is mostly done by the band itself. It contains a lot of songs in the style of their debut album, but in somehow they sound more grown up. It’s typical music of The Cyan Velvet Project, they stayed true to their own style, but made a step forward.
Their songs radiate self confidence. They are about how you can be a strong person and delete the bugs out of your life. You make your own destiny. Listening to this album makes you feel strong and it tells you that you can handle the world. Don’t stick to a point of misery in your life but move on! How dramatic your life can be, you can get out of it.
This positive arrogance adds a certain atmosphere while listening to the album.
The first released single is “Dead Skin”, which is the third song of the album. This song is probably a seamless transition from the first album to the second. My advice for those who like industrial metal: Buy the album, give it a chance and you won’t regret it ever!
