Hailing from Cologne, Germany, Lords of Salem blend theatrical hard rock, industrial metal and horror aesthetics into a bombastic sound that owes as much to Rob Zombie and Danzig as it does to the Neue Deutsche Härte movement. Released in March 2026, Supersonic Vampire Pussy is the band’s long-awaited debut full-length, delivering nine tracks of dark, tongue-in-cheek rock and metal.

From the cinematic opener “The Hills Have Eyes,” Lords of Salem make their intentions abundantly clear. This is an album built on infectious grooves, industrial textures and a healthy dose of B-movie horror. Thick guitar riffs collide with electronic flourishes, while frontman Postel delivers his vocals with enough swagger and menace to tie the whole experience together. Songs such as “Miss Demoness” and “Blood Orgy” balance heavy riffs with memorable choruses, making the record surprisingly accessible despite its sinister aesthetic. The title track is an undeniable highlight, combining driving rhythms with an irresistible hook that is bound to become a live favourite.

What makes Supersonic Vampire Pussy particularly enjoyable is that the band never takes itself too seriously. Instead of disappearing into cliché, Lords of Salem embrace their over-the-top horror concept and transform it into entertaining, energetic songwriting. Tracks like “German Zombie Attack” and “1000 Ways To Die” are packed with personality, while the haunting “Summoned Them From Their Graves” and the darker closing track “Carnivore” add enough variation to prevent the album from becoming repetitive. The production is crisp and powerful, allowing the industrial elements to complement rather than overpower the guitars. While the band’s influences are easy to identify, they inject enough individuality and theatrical flair to keep the material fresh.

Supersonic Vampire Pussy is simply a fun record. It is loud, catchy, unapologetically theatrical and packed with memorable choruses and heavy grooves. Fans of horror-inspired hard rock, industrial metal and groove-driven heavy music will find plenty to sink their teeth into. Lords of Salem may not reinvent the genre, but they certainly know how to deliver an entertaining ride from beginning to end.
