This February Swedish Electric Hydra appears with their second release titled From the Fallen.

Staying out of style, the band combines the best parts of hard and psychedelic rock. The current eleven-tracked offer starts with pushing “Scent of Blood” that grabs attention with the first notes. Everything gone out of control in “Let the Chaos Unfold”. Next “Prayers of Fire” sounds like punks smashed the keyboards.

Then loud and whirring heavy vibes replaced by slowing melody and subdued vocals. Cracked by “It’s All Just Dirt”, we got psychedelic breakthrough. Track by track the band reveals new facets of their talent. Never guessed the combination, Swedes keep elusive components. Continued with “Contagious” as the most complex alterative rock passages blended with heavy metal chords and male voice.  Returned psychedelic chords in “A New Dawn” doubled drawling vocals in perfect timing. “Riding the Haze”, the disharmonic and even hysteric tune with slight motorheading. Culminated with “A Sky Full of Fading Stars”, the band leaves it for relaxing part.

Attributed as heavy rock formation, Electric Hydra has indeed inherited much from previous generation of several genres. At the same time, the rockers broke through the repetitive bygone material and respectfully made unique sound.
