French metallers DARKTRIBE started engines in 2001. This November the band released the fourth studio album Forgotten Reveries via Scarlet Records.
The fact is, the members of metal industry usually implement obvious rather than shape new reality. However, not in the DARKTRIBE case. Making cohesive record from tip to toe, rockers minded binge-listening. Carefully packed with 11 tracks Forgotten Reveries remains all the best of metal.
Firstly using hypnotic effect in “Paradox” opening, the band keeps it for the rest of album. The absolutely blockbuster “I Walk Alone” would be placed on the catchy metal legacy shelf. Following the guitar passages “The Fallen World” accomplished with running drumbeats, the refrain peaked to concise and complicit construction. Perfectly fitting for The Bondiana musically “Sicilian Danza” highlighted “there’s a sunset for you and me” sense that built on the roots and identity. Not only had this triplet paid attention. For instance, the angels cry for “Eden and Eclipse” with dynamic refrain and high-octaves guitars. “From Star To Dust” more interesting like stargazing with commenting narrator cosmically accompanied. Heavy armored “Mornings of Fear” made guitars weeping in due of hell bells. Finalized with splendid “Son Of Illusion”, DARKTRIBE proves their goldsmith mastery.
Could metal be more powerful and reliable? Forgotten Reveries seem too good to be true. You know what to do.
