Inherited are a Dutch groove/thrash metal band hailing from The Netherlands.Their sound finds its roots in groove metal, thrash metal, and hardcore, an energetic blend that channels influences like Sepultura-era Max Cavalera, Soulfly, Pantera, Slayer, Machine Headetc.. Their debut album, No Regrets, was released in April 2025

From the opening notes, “No Regrets unfolds” with a confrontational, tense tone right from the start. The album goes between relentless aggression and layered, groove-laden heaviness. There’s a raw, unfiltered character here, yet it’s paired with enough refined musicianship,notably tight drum work, solid riffs, and dual-guitar dynamics delivering both precision and energy.
Two of the shortest tracks. “Purge” and “Shitface”, came out as particularly impactful, packing the hardest punches with intense riffing and memorable grooves. Another note-worthy moment is “Spiritual Butcher,” which opens with thrash-rooted riffing and a deathly vocal scream—again driving headbanging energy. The band demonstrates a level of technical competence and confidence and since we came across them a couple of times in live shows, we are aware what the band brings live and it is good to see they translated that live energy into their release.

Overall, No Regrets presents itself as a fine debut. It doesn’t seek to reinvent the metal wheel, but its ferocity, coherence, and confident execution make it a compelling addition to modern Dutch metal.
