Derev is a Canadian Progressive Rock formation. They guys recently released their album “Troubled Mind”.

Musically, Troubled Mind showcases Derev’s sound, incorporating elements such as Middle Eastern instruments like the darbuka and cajón, as well as electronic textures. This fusion enriches their progressive rock foundation, drawing comparisons to bands like Opeth, Dream Theater, and Porcupine Tree.

The album’s concept delves into various psychological states, from cognitive immobility to schizophrenia and complicated grief. Each track serves as a narrative that invites listeners into the complexities of the human psyche.
