Next Deed is an alternative metal band from Luxembourg. The band released their EP “The Soldier: Act 1” last December.

As you see in the title this EP is one of multiple. Five pieces are to be released and this one is indeed the first one.

Opening with “Time,” they set a reflective tone, blending melodic guitar lines with introspective lyrics. Continuing with “Bulletproof” where the band picks up the pace, delivering energetic riffs and a catchy chorus that highlights the band’s dynamic range. “Tears Won’t Dry” offers a raw, emotive performance, delving into themes of heartache and resilience whereas “Save Us” combines rhythmic intensity with melodic hooks, creating a compelling listening experience. Concluding with “Rise Again,” the track builds from a subdued beginning to a powerful crescendo, encapsulating the EP’s overarching narrative of struggle and hope. The five tracks show the diversity of Next Deed, an EP that takes you into different directions but still with enough cohesive structure in the songs to bind them together.

Perhaps some refinement could be found here and there, but the guys are thinking big with this project and that is promising. This is only the starts, let’s see where it leads to.
