Debuted in 2020 with EP, in five years Sons of Silver made LP happen. Members of well-known LA-based bands cooperated in kind of super group to make old-fashioned rock. The present album “Runaway Emotions” released via 4L Entertainment at 10th of January.
The current record is sort of time machine that skipped three or four decades. The formula of “Runaway Emotions” is simple: multiplying calm and fluid melody with soft voice. All runaway emotions packed in ten tracks circa 40 minutes wholesome.
Each part of the album is pretty nostalgic. “Tell Me This” is almost flawless opener, no declarations just ordinary narration. Familiar connotations recognized in “Baby Hang On” with invisible touch of rockabilly or pop with rhythm section and clapping. The good samples of proto rock are “Just Getting Started” and “Giving It”. The absolute hit for the history is my favorite “Ghosts”. Freezing with whispers about ghost everywhere and down pouring 70’s keyboards. No single spicy itch was detected in “Nobody Minds” despites of lyrics. Accompanied with piano “Friends” goodbyes on the major note while saluting friends.
“Runaway Emotions” is rest for the soul and pleasure for the ears. Take a break and listen to Sons of Silver.
