Not many bands can bragging the decades of productive being. The Swedes Diamond Dogs have over 30-years story of making rock music and thirteen albums in a row. The Hardest Nut To Crack, the fourteenth record, released this September.
Prepare for the twelve tracks full of rockabilly intentions. Pointed to the track-tittles, you can’t deny words of rock from opener to finisher. “Get a rock’n’roll record” and “Rising from the ruins (of rock’n’roll)” play their roles as leaving mark in history. Rising in the meaning of mystery so bright that you probably follow the light. “Old timer”, country example, contains sliding raw chords and story of being heavy experienced of life. “Only a whim” has different tempo and rhythm that possible be mentioned as the ballad. Most of the songs accompanied by keyboards and harmonica that made the album not as empty. Especially danceable “Desiree, yet another lonely mile”, maybe not as twist and shout, but rhythmic and kicking.
Some kind of things is timeless, like a good music. All the technologies passed away against sound of pure rock and blues. That’s why it’s time to polish the dancing shoes and put your feet on it. Diamond Dogs shows you the way.
