Valletta – Come alive

The dark rockers “Valletta” based in Raleigh, New Carolina (USA) and possibly named after the capital of Malta (or just surname of one’s member). “Come alive” is debut for “Valletta” as a band, all the members are heavily experienced on the rock field.

The EP packs with six tracks and lasts over twenty minutes. This short presentation of the band’s mastery has several pros. Firstly, good mastering. Secondly, music features.

The half of record has the chance of being pointed as key tracks. In the order of coolness, here they are. The third place goes to the kick-starter “Come alive”, that provides serious ambitions to leave a mark on the charts or being long–lasted streaming on couple of apps. At least, it seems, the band is alive and kicking. The second place is for “Serpent of Solomon”, which is so classic rock that you cannot deny stormy riffs. And the first place (that’s only my humble opinion) goes to “Criminal”. The track has impressive instrumental work, and, no doubts, stoner rock hides in the corner.

Resuming the material, we have original rock with dark connotations. I refuse to mention it as black n’ roll, because of shady intonation that makes sound illuminating grey. If only I had synesthesia, I’d see the music in this color.
