Foo Fighters – But Here We Are

Releasedate: 2023
Label: Sony Music

When tragedy strikes it leaves behind a chaos that can be hard to handle. And here is Foo Fighters’ way to handle and cope with the recent tragedies the band had to face: “But Here We Are”! The US rock band was founded in 1994, and have released ten studio albums, with this being the eleventh. They are known for their unique sound and the joy yet sincerity they combine in their music. “But Here We Are” is different, but brilliant, nonetheless.

“But Here We Are” comes with ten songs and lasts for 48 minutes. Each song is digging deep underneath your skin with ease and tells a story. Each song is either an approach to cope with the grief or to continue life after the life changing tragedy, undoubtedly. Heartwarming yet heartbreaking are songs like “But Here We Are”, “Nothing At All”, “Show Me How” or “The Glass”, though, all of them are. Firstly, I must say, I honestly hope not all of you can relate to the pain and sorrow of these songs. But for those who can, I am sure it soothes the soul and mends the wound a bit.

Back to the music itself: The songs are intense and the choruses will get stuck in your heart. Some songs are faster than others and all are filled to the top with deep emotions – of course. While the album goes through ups and downs, it ultimately contains the message that our time here is limited and we should all spend the time we have wisely, preferably with the ones we love or things we love. So here it is. Let Foo Fighters open your heart and fill it with “But Here We Are”.
