Blessed Be is the fifth studio album by Finnish gothic rock band The 69 Eyes. Originally released in 2000 by Gaga Goodies, Blessed Be is now reissued and remastered for the first time with the band’s approval, and released via Svart Records.
Blessed Be is the album that lured me into the world of Helsinki Vampires. With so many timeless classics like “Framed in Blood”, “Gothic Girl” and “Brandon Lee”, this album is definitely the gem for any collectors of goth’n’roll and fans of The 69 Eyes out there.
What makes this version of Blessed Be special is surely the bonus material. In addition to the album having been reissued and remastered, Blessed Be also contains some bonus material such as demo versions of some classics and live material. One highlight is definitely live version of The Doors cover “Riders on the Storm”, you gotta love it when these guys cover a legendary act like The Doors!
So if there are any collectors out there, make sure to get this reissue to devour the bonus material! To all the new 69 Eyes fans out there; I wouldn’t be exaggerating if I say that I am listening to at least one of the songs from this album every day! This is how much this album means to a lot of fans like me. So get it and enjoy the beauty of goth’n’roll
