Silver Dust – Lullabies

Releasedate: 29-04-2022
Label: Fastball Music

Swiss formation Silver Dust makes a combination of Heavy, Classic and some Gothic Metal. The band just released their fourth full length album “Lullabies”. It is available now.

Compared to their previous release the band has certainly made some changes. Here and there you find a hint of prog in there, the theatrical side is there still but it is more balanced. Good, as they now put some more stress on the individual qualities of the bandmembers. A bit more space to shine. Some nice solo’s are to be found in the album, the band does not push them out to much, but modestly presents them within the mostly calm songs in this release. Title “Lullabies” probably would have brought you to that also, but do not be mistaken, the guys are not making you fall asleep at all.
The album comes with variation. Some tracks have a heavier feel than the other but they maintain in good line with eachother. Halfway you came across “There’s A Place Where I Can Go” which is a totally soothing track. It is followed by “Animal Swing” which is much heavier and then “Burlesque” which is a bit more hysterical. Yet the transitions feel natural. Not something that every band masters.

Silver Dust made a fine release. They progressed since their previous release in a way that makes their sound more complete. “Lullabies” is everything at once altogether.
