Releasedate: 11-02-2022 Label: Century Media Records
Napalm Death should not need an introduction. The British band has an enormous list of discography and an even longer list of tours that for the regular festival visitor it is almost impossible to have missed their name. As they are seen as one of the finders of Grindcore they have a name one can rely on. In 2022 they come with an EP with the title “Resentment Is Always Seismic – A Final Throw of Throes”.
A title that refers back to their latest full length for which they had some material left over. You can only fill an album with a certain amount of material after all. So as an EP they still give out the rest of it. And with the knowledge of that you can listen to eight new track of which two covers. Are they filling in line with the previous release, certainly. Interestingly enough they seem to have thought of giving the EP a logical start and end as well. Not as much a collection of leftovers but a release that they did put together with some thought to it.
When you are Napalm Death it will be hard to disappoint your fans, many been around for long. Here and there you notice they have been experimenting a bit to keep it interesting and that speaks for them. It makes this release one that you enjoy listening and hope for them crossing our road once again some when soon.
