23-08-2009 Love's Labour's Lost

After a week of touring I was back in the local clubs to see a befriended band playing their last show for now. They played at 11er, a club that is known for its crappy light. But that didn’t matter. As a matter of fact it fit well to the atmosphere. A slow Saturday evening with not much going on in town, so we expected some people to come. But not as many came as we expected. Maybe because it was still festival season and some great festivals were on this weekend.

Anyway, Love’s Labour’s Lost didn’t care and still had a great performance. Their show lasted for about 40 minutes and they played many old as well as new songs. You could tell how passionate the band was about it. They get so much better every time I see them, it is always a pleasure. Unfortunately the audience did not go along too much. It was more of the watching kind of audience. But at least they clapped after each song. The light was dim and the fog gave the atmosphere the final touch. It was an amazing show and I can’t wait till they come back.
