Darling Parade – Darling Parade

The pop/rock formation Darling Parade started in 2007. The Americans have released an EP called “Darling Parade”.

The band is currently unsigned, but nevertheless has a certain level of commercialism in their whole package. Three guys, one stunning female on front and catchy pop rock songs. Kristin Kearns, is vocalist who can be described as the sound of Kelly Clarkson mixed with a slightly Miley Cyrus for creating a more naughty sound. Don’t expect it to be pervert though, your little sister would love it!
The EP holds five songs, starting with “Bells Are Ringing” which has something very recognizable. The second one “Lose You” is a nice contrast with the first song, being it a bit more serious. Really standing out as a song is the slower “Tangled” which closes the album. In this song you can hear the vocals give a homage to what is in it. Also listen carefully to the guitar work in this song, a perfect back up for this song, in the four songs heard before on this EP the instruments got pushed out of everyone’s attention by the story that Kristin tells.
This band has potential and we would not be surprised to see them storm the charts some day. They are now just standing on the road, waiting till someone hitches them a ride.
