The CRASH THE SYSTEM – project came about as a collaboration between song-writer Sören Kronqvist and drummer/producer Daniel Flores in the fall of 2008. The duo has known each other for a couple of years and they respect each other’s work. Sören and Daniel decided to make a project together with songs they enjoyed writing. Thanks to Daniel’s extensive music background, good reputation, and connections in the music business he managed to bring in some of the top names in Sweden into the project.
“Fans of 80’s metal with influences of modern symphonic metal should not be disappointed with the catchy choruses and great melodies sung by some of the top hard rock singers around.“ Taking this quote and listening to the songs I agree. Each and every song has its very own beat, and yet while listening to them you may think of bands like Scorpions, Whitesnake, Poison and Europe. All in all it’s a mix between modern symphonic metal and a little bit pop. Listening to the first couple seconds of “Fight Fire With Fire” it reminds of Scorpions and Whitesnake. “All Because of You”, “I still believe in Love” and “Love Is In Your Eyes” remind of Europe and Whitesnake as well. “Take A Chance” has some more electro elements in it and lets you hope of something new but disappoints you with the same old sound right away.
This is yet another 70s and 80s metal remake of the biggest bands. By now it’s only getting boring and even annoying. I love the 70s and 80s but not as new releases in 2009. Nice try Crash The System, but please try something new. Too many people try to walk this lane, without success.
