The Veronicas is an award winning electro pop-rock duo band based in Australia. The duo was formed in 2004, in Brisbane, by twin sisters Jessica Origliasso and Lisa Origliasso. They have their own line of clothing for all ages that they released beginning in 2007. They have released two studio albums, the first being The Secret Life of… in 2005. The debut album peaked at #4 on the Australian charts and gained an ARIA certification of four times platinum, for 280,000+ sales. The Secret Life of… spawned five singles, including three top ten singles in Australia.

The album is very catchy and thriving, it gets you going along in no time. Good vibes spread through the electro pop beats and the sweet voices of the girls. The songs are easy to sing along. The girls sing their songs with a lot of power. The lyrics are very emotional and personal, something every girl can relate to. This is music you would most likely hear on MTV and radio stations. Some of the songs I can even imagine being played in clubs like for example “Take Me On The Floor”, “Untouched” and “Popular”. “I Don’t Wanna Wait” is a slower song, very touchy, but the verses are quite fast. The lyrics are cramped into the booklet, white print on black. There are also a few pics of the girls. “Someone Wake Me Up” is another very emotional and sad song. “In Another Life” is accompanied by piano. This adds a certain depth to the song, the low singing reveals the sorrow this song is about. The last song is very powerful and energetic again, pushing the adrenaline into your veins and makes you go along.
