Known from Technicolour and Negative, Tuomas “Gary” Keskinen is now the front man of the band Monday which will release a debut album in the end of April. Monday was born in the year 2004 and the band’s first single also named “Monday” was released in the fall 2008. Now their debut album “24 Hours In Pictures” is released.
It is a very melodic album, the songs are easy going and the female vocalist does a great job in leading you through it. The nine songs are very poppy and easy-going. They lyrics are easy to sing along and get stuck in your head. Unfortunately with its nine songs only the album is quite short. “Fade Away” is the slowest and most melancholic one piece. The song “Monday” is great to dance along. You can find the lyrics to each song in the mostly white booklet. The song “My Star” is very poppy song. “24 Hours In Pictures” sounds a little bit like a TV soundtrack, at least it is very suitable for being one. All lyrics are very nice listening to and reading through. On a few songs you can hear male backing vocals. “24 Hours In Pictures” is a very nice but short album.
