Supports: Pinboys; Venue: Nachtleben, Frankfurt (Germany)

It seemed like forever that I had last been to Nachtleben, but here I was tonight for another concert. Tonight’s show was originally planned for March 20th but got delayed. The bands playing tonight were Pinboys from Denmark and One Fine Day from Hamburg/Germany.
The club wasn’t too crowded but it was decently filled for a Wednesday evening. Although I have never heard of Pinboys before there were some die-hard Pinboys fans up front, knowing the lyrics and wearing band merchandise.
Pinboys is a Danish pop punk/pop rock band that was formed in September 2002. The band consists of Jacob (vocalist/bass), Anne (vocalist), Simon (guitar) and Anders (drums). They released their first indie album Teenage Wasteland on March 15, 2007. Their female singer was dancing around a lot on stage, sometimes it looked a little like taken out of Flash Dance the movie. She had strong vocals sometimes a little smoky. Supported by her bass player on some songs the band rocked the Nachtleben. Most people danced and cheered. The bass player was very fluent in German and impressed the audience with that.
The next band was One Fine Day. One Fine Day is a German rock band from Hamburg. Founded in 1997 they toured with several big artists already such as 4lyn, H-Bloxx and just recently with The Subways. They also played at many big festivals and now have their fourth album released. They rocked and got their fans going along. For one song they even got everybody to kneel down in the beginning and get up as fast as possible. Their fans sang along and cheered to the band. The guys of One Fine Day enjoyed their time on stage and kept on telling that Frankfurt rocked tonight. Another story both bands told while being on stage was their last time at Nachtleben: There must have been only five people there and Frankfurt was so empty because of a storm warning. Neither my friend nor I remembered anything like that happening in Frankfurt in the past 3 years so either it was before that or just the general mixing up places while being on tour. Anyway, One Fine Day played several songs off their latest album but also some older ones. It was a nice show and everybody enjoyed it.
