Stanfour – Wild Life

  Five days after the single release of „Do It All“ I saw Stanfour live
  at Living XXL in Frankfurt, a fancy dance club reminding of Kaivohuone in Helsinki,
  doing a short but really great acoustic set of four songs. Afterwards I was
  talking to the guys for a little bit and got the single signed as well. I don’t
  know why I never wrote anything about that, not even in my Mypace blogs where
  I usually write about everything. Maybe it got lost in all the chaos of that
  day or maybe it just drowned in my to-do pile… Their second single got released
  in the middle of December last year, and since February 29th their debut album
  is finally out.

  Stanfour is a German rock band. It might seem like they would be one of those
  casted bands pushed by a major label, but they are not! They are a “self-made”
  band who worked hard to get to where they’re at now, and they will go much
  farther. Their debut album “Wild Life” was recorded in LA and Stockholm,
  and of course in their hometown Föhr.

  The album starts out with the latest single “For All Lovers”, are
  very deep song, but in my opinion all their songs go quite deep and are also
  quite personal. Most songs are very rocking and very catchy songs with a sound
  that makes you rather think of an US band than a German band. “In Your
  Arms” is a slow and sad song, it reflects the vocal range of the singer
  quite well. A really great song. Some of the faster and more rocking songs are
  for example “Wild Life”, “Heart Skipped A Beat” and “Do
  It All”. “I Will Be There” is a very slow and also very emotional
  song, also the last song of the album which leaves the listener behind with
  a deep sigh. A great album that leaves its traces in your mind and you will
  sing the songs without listening to the album anywhere else. Stanfour is a great
  band and we will hear a lot of them in the future, that is guaranteed.
