Releasedate: 26-11-2008; Label: Osasto-A

The Finnish Electro/industrial metal band Black Light Discipline formed in the year 2005. They are coming from Kuopio. The released two EP’s before but now it is time for their debut full length “Empire”.
“Empire” starts of as a typical industrial metal album. The deep vocals from vocalist Toni has bit of the Gothminister sound.. The second song on the album “Tides”, which is released as a websingle, has a certain drive. A bit more catchiness, a song to dance to. The fifth song “Words Have A Meaning” starts off a bit more electronic than the other songs brought so far. The band slightly hints their audience in this song.
The album closes a bit messy with the song “So Much Better”.
On this album the band collaborated with MC Raaka P. which is the front man of the successful Finnish industrial band Turmion Kätilöt (interview) and Dj Protheus All the songs on the album certainly are in one line. The songs are smoothly produced, but never be polished too shiny.
The market of industrial music is quite dominated by the German scene, Black Light Discipline is one of the bands that show that they can bring the same quality and taken this in consideration that this is done with their debut album I can only say that I expect a lot from them in future.
