Supports: Übergas; Venue: Nachtleben, Frankfurt (Germany)

As I arrived at the Nachtleben in Frankfurt on this Tuesday evening I found a huge and extremely long queue outside of the club as I had never seen it before at this location. And especially had I never seen anything like that for a Sub7even or Daniel Wirtz show. But it was “only” a Daniel Wirtz show. I was seriously astonished.
Downstairs it was totally crowded and sweaty. Not everybody had gotten in. It was a sold out show with many fans waiting outside because they hadn’t gotten a ticket. Opening act was Übergas, a German band playing something between rock and metal. They were totally excited and overwhelmed on stage, the audience liked their show. It was too much metal for me. The songs were sung in German and the singer talked a lot to the crowd.
Now it was time for Daniel Wirtz. A German singer who I have seen as the singer of Sub7even many times. Now he was on tour solo with his album. The music is sung in German, very emotional and taken out of life. He has a great voice and knows how to give the emotions he is singing about to the listener. The band is supporting him big time with their instruments and passion to music. The club was going wild, singing along to every word, shouting out loud and cheering after every song. Daniel was talking less than usual to the audience which might also be because of his in-ear monitors he didn’t hear everything fans had to say in front of him. It was a great and familiar show, we all felt home with them on stage and people in the crowd that we know. Everybody knew somebody. A really great beginning for the tour, even Daniel was amazed big time. They played for more than an hour plus encore. Slower acoustic songs as well as fast rock songs were on the set list. We all loved it and it was an amazing show that we won’t forget that quick.
