Waves under Water is a Swedish dark wave / synth pop band formed in October 2007 by the singer Angelica Segerbäck and the composer Johan Svärdshammar. The band has a romantic image which flirts with goth, steam punk and new romantic.
Waves Under Water put eleven tracks of catchy electro music together that makes you want to dance along. With melodies that are easy to dance along to the Swedes catch your attention and keep it till the end. Also are the songs getting stuck in your head easily because they are quite repetitive throughout each track. Even though the music is dark, it still brightens your soul a little when listening to it. “Quiet Day” is the slowest song on the album. “Man In The Moon” and “Sampo” include male vocals where as the other songs are sung by a female. The album cover somehow reminds me of Wallace and Gromit. When pressing play on this album you can find yourself in the rocket, out of space and out of time, dreaming of travelling to the moon. So hop on the space rocket and go on a journey with Waves Under Water and their new album “All Of Your Light”.
