Jackal is an Italian hard rock band with strong references of typical 80’s heroes like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Ozzy Osbourne etc.
The line up of this band was completed in 2003 and now they released their Promo CD “Black Inside”.
There are six songs on this album and all have a typical instrumental structure. The vocals do not take too much of the attention and give a lot of space to the instrumental pleasures. A wise choice, since I think the vocals might need to grow a bit, but the way the band implemented the vocals in these songs makes it sound right.
Jackal is a band which reminds me to Iron Maiden immediately when putting their music on. When thinking that Iron Maiden nowadays feels the clock ticking, nothing lives for ever; the Iron Maiden fans might find a new aural pleasure in Jackal. Just keep your eyes on what they are doing and who knows what will come up.
