From Major to Minor is a rock act by Arndt Jansen. He comes from Germany and his album “Hands and Feet” is out right now. This is not the debut album though, in 2007 “Digital Love” was released.
From Major to Minor makes calm rock music with indie vibes. The album “Hands and Feet” shows this calmness already before you opened the box to get the cd out. The cover is calm, simple and serene. The first song on the album is called “The Simple Lyrics” you can see the song as a statement about the album.
Arndt takes control about most of the elements in the album. He arranges the singing, guitar, bass, drums and keyboard. This makes it all sound like a typical one man band, which of course has its pro’s and cons.
Overall the songs have as a red thread through the album that they are all quite sad from nature. Songtitles as “No One Sings Along”, “You’re Dead” and “I Am Lucky, I Am A Coward” might have suspect that thought.
When you look through all the drama, you have a nice album to listen to on a calm rainy Sunday afternoon, while working or just enjoying the time off.
