The young Amy Macdonald, coming from Scotland made her way to the charts with her debut album “This Is Life”. She is only 20 years old at the moment of writing and she already made a huge impression on many music lovers. Time for us to you something about her album.
Amy is blessed with a beautiful voice and she stands out by her British accent. Her songs are all reflections of an ordinary life.
Take the song “mr. Rock & Roll”, which was her first single. It is a perfect vision of how you can look at people you sees in your life. The album is various enough. Amy shows many different sides of her and knows how to use her voice. Hearing it makes me wonder how she would do live. Somehow, it sounds like it is a little bit over produced to me. Not in a way that the album annoys you, but it sets the expectations for a live performance very high.
Songs I really enjoy listening time after time are “Run” and “Let’s start a band”. Those songs seem to come right from the heart and keep my mind.
Amy MacDonald makes you feel like those songs belong to your life. I would definitely advice people to buy it. And keep your eyes on this girl!
She is born to be a star.
